cooling pack?

I just went to the pet store and they had this thing you put in the freezer and wrap in a towel and put in the pigs cage in summer for them to lay on. i guess it must be something like an ice-pack. what do you guys think of that? since it gets so hot here in summer...
 
Sweetie i use and i know others do too, small coke bottle or fruit plastic bottles, freeze them up and let them lay against them mmmmmmmmmmm
they do say sometimes to be careful and wrap them in a cloth you could use a tea towel :)
Much cheaper way and easy too, you could have lots in freezer and you guys up north have lots of hot days in a row so i'd have 6 or so in stock !
 
I don't know if the snugglesafes we heat in the microwave for winter could be put into the freezer and work in the opposite way for summer? They have a fleecey cover so would be protected. But maybe the contents of the snugglesafe aren't suitable to be frozen?
