As some may know, my OH has been working at Banham Zoo, i asked him what dry food the rabbits and guinea pigs get fed as he has told me they were all on the same food...... :{

Well he had a look and its from and named as per the title line. I am not sure about it to be honest, it says it is suitable for rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters, i cant see how it could be as they all need different vitamins etc dont they? Its like a muesli by the way.

I have tried searching online for more info but cant find anything on their website

But he took a picture today:

I have seen people on here asking if there is a "one food suits all"

What are your thoughts?

Rabbits need a lot more calcium in their diet then guinea pigs so I do not see how they could both get their needs met from the same food. Then guinea pigs need more vitamin C then rabbits so how would that work?

I know my thoughts exactly....? I'll see what others thoughts are too then contact copdock mill and send them a copy of the responses and see what they have to say.

I used to work in a pet shop (7 years ago) and they used to sell Copdock mill food. They used to manufacture seperate feeds for seperate species.

In my opinion its a cheap food to buy direct. I personally don't like the look of the mix and wouldn't choose to feed my animals on it.

My college uses a feed like this and just labels it 'rodent mix', it can't meet all of the animals seperate needs but is 'cost effective' rolleyes
None of the aniamls are suffering from any defficencies as far as I know, but I'm not a fan of the feed. x
