He's licking Corly behind the ear. Not sure what it means but a few weeks ago I thought I might have split them, things have calmed down now =] thank you

hi, just wondered because i want to get a friend for maxwell and i was wondering how well two males can get on together and if neutering made a difference to the way the act to each other.

As from I've read, makes no difference at all and unless you put a female with them it's an unnecessary risk to your boars life.

Africa was brought up with another boar from birth I think, he was named Leo (in my display picture), Leo died last October and I got Corly in December (the white guinea pig) Corly was a baby so naturally they bonded quickly but when Corly turned 4-5 months he started being a bit temp with Africa, I noticed Africa got a scab on his back but because I couldn't tell if it was Corly I just watched them, I noticed Corly reared towards Africa quite a bit for a few weeks but now it's all settled.

Basically, if you want to boars, make sure the cage is a decent size, they like their own space, people suggest two of everything but mine do fine with two beds, 1 bowl and 1 bottle. Always introduce them on neutral ground and clean the cage before adding them both together (so it isn't one or the others territory) and also, I've heard it's best to add a baby instead of a fully grown male if yours is fully grown, otherwise do it the other way around. Grown pig to your baby pig. Keep an eye on them if anything happens (fighting, scuffs, arguing <--- when they noises with each other and chattering) because if they do fight and hurt each other they need to be separated.

Of course, I'm sure you can find advice on the subject somewhere on here, if not and you need more advice of a range of people, post about it =D! Hope things go well if you choose another boar. I prefer them!
 
Aw they're the kinda pictures you take for fun and when you look back over them you realise how artistic they look! :)) ha ha
