Hi
just bought my piggies some corn on the cob. I don'mean to be thick 98), do I just give the whole thing? :)

i bought some fresh, and they have a brown thing on the end..are they ok to eat that too or not? normally when i buy it its packaged and thats not on.. ?
 
I wasn't sure about the brown thing either! I always cut them off. :)
 
these are 3 for 50p in asda ! i chopped mine up into fours and the piggys went crazy for them

Thats a good price mine were 99p each from Adsa last week lol. I chopped mine into two and gave them half each it went down a treat it was nibbled to bits very fast. :)
 
:'( why do no shops near me have corn on the cob cheap? ;D We always grow it but this year it is soo bad haha. My piggies have never had it (have had baby corn but that's not the same!)...
 
Do not feed the brown bits at the top of the cob.The rest,leaves ,silk and cob they love.
 
ok thanks mary, i was planning on cutting it off anyway just be on the safe side..they are having it with their tea tonight :)
 
Just like to mention that Tesco are selling the Corn on the Cob, husks and all for 27p each, i have just bought another 6 today for my wee piggies, last week i bought 4 of them and they loved them, as they seem so juicy for them, they devoured them in no time. I cut off the brown end, peel off some of the leaves, but i leave the last 1 or 2 layers of the leaves as mine love this also. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

oohh think i will have to sweet talk my bf into taking me tesco on saturday to get my pigs a treat :)
 
Got my piggies some of that 27p corn on the cob from tesco, and when I went in they had some parsley and carrot with tops in the reduced section. Making soup with the carrots, but the piggies are loving the tops. :)

I was thinking the same thing. It just seems so strange giving it to them raw. ;D
 
are the ones in pet shops any good? we have them at work...

I am going to get them some fresh tomoz when I am at work anyway, but they will have to make do with Marks and Spencer, sainsburys is miles away!
