Corn on the cob

We're making corn fritters for dinner tonight and I'm wondering if the girls could have the middle bits now we've cut all the corn off?

When I give mine a corn on the cob Merry takes that middle bit and hoards it like a treasure. I have to take it away when he's not looking before it goes mouldy!

Mine like the outer leaves and the silks - I've never given them the inner part though.

Did they take them? I have never tried it as I usually get frozen ones..used to give them a fresh baby corn as a treat..

They had a nibble at it but didn't seem too bothered, will try again another time but it's just good to know there is something else we can offer occasionally.
