Corn on the cob.........

Does anyone know for 100% if the actual plant leaves are edible? ?

I am growing some and they are huge, looking forward to feeding them to my piggies. In the guinea pig shopping list it states:
Corn on the cob (strings, leaves & stalks are edible too)

Do I read this as the actual big leaves of the plant are ok to feed?

I gave ours some surplus plants I'd grown. They were fighting over them, no ill effects.
