Oki wont to try my piggies with corn on the cob as i sow that you can give it nthe peter gurney book my got and i see there sell them in my tosco

how should i cut it up? and which bits can there eat

I'm going shopping this afternoon so need to know pertty quick

:) You can buy a whole cob with leave n all and just put it in or break in half/thirds and feed. They can eat the whole cob but its starchy and should not be overfed. I usually put one cob, broken in half, with 4 or 5 guineas.

i cant find any with the leaves on, i doubt you will find them at tesco they tend to do them with no leaves

Only give mylot this once in a blue moon and they strip it bare! I take off the silk bits first :)

thanks i got a pack of four from taco there didnt have leavs on them and i wont be giving them every day if there live them

:) Leave the 'stringy stuff' (Silks') on, its actually beneficial for their health (Urinary tract I think). Mine fight over these first before the corn. They can have the whole lot including the plant if you grow them, but that would feed a lot of guineas.

Just curious...when you take off the leaves there's a load of stringy stuff isn't there? Should you remove that?

I know others leave them on, but I take them off as bits left on normally end up stuck between their teeth like dental floss :-\

I found some! in asda a pack of 2 for £1.00 my pigs seem to like the outer leaves, meeka tucked in straight away O0

One of Duke's fav veggies. When his teeth are playing up i cut off the corn from the cob as well, but leave the cob in there so it encourages him to use his toofies :tickedoff:

So far my piggies have truned their noses up at sweetcorn on the cob and minicorn. :)

mine love it especially the leaves, think thats the best bit. i always take away the stringy bits. tesco have 2 cobs with leaves for £1.59 i think it was at the moment, saw them last night. i buy them for baby as a sneaky treat but the other 37 piggies can smell them and go wild ;D

37!? i would not like to be you with a plate of veggies my 5 go mental! and you can hear my boys from the other end of the house and theres only two of them lol

their pretty good most of the time until you rattle a packet, then the girls go wild ;D and if you take their dishes out for feeding time they squeak and don't give in till dishes return ;D

hate to think what the neighbours think, they don't know i have piggies ;)

you should see feeding time............big line of dishes on top, takes quite awhile but they are well worth it :smitten:

i bet! it takes me about 30mins to feed my lot n ive got 30 less than you lol

mine can take up to about 2 hours by the time I've done fresh and dried food and then their hay and certain ones have to have their treats ;) and baby takes abit of extra care cause he's tilted and blind and has to have little treats in his house >:D and fluffy likes strawberries but is a slow eater and the others nick them, so i have to hand feed ;D
yep I'm mad feeding is alot easier than trying to catch all the girls when they come out, can you imagine trying to catch 29 girls running round the floor, it's a scream :D

only wanted 4 piggies, not sure how i ended up with so many :) when my partner got the first 2 i didn't even like them and couldn't hold them, i was scarred ::)
