COVID-19 Coronavirus

Hugs @SkyPipDotBernie hope it’s good news later. Expect the worst and hope for the best ☹ There are two men over 90 who have survived after contracting coronavirus

Thanks, I just don't know what can be done to help him🤔. I think he needs his spirits lifting by seeing his family. But obviously can't. Such a tough time

Just had a call from my mum.. The doctors are almost sure he has a pneumonia, and his heart failure is on stage 3 - 4. 4 being the worst. Just got to hope now 🤞

The nurse warned us that if he needs resuscitation, they won't do it. They said it will be pointless trying. Something to do with having a pacemaker and something else

I'm not holding much hope to be honest. He's 90 almost, and has done the typical thing where they get sick, perk up and then go back down hill. Seen it in so many pets and dying old people in my family. I do hope hes ok. Thankyou 👍
sorry to hear that x

Another update, he has pneumonia on both lungs, and a blood infection. Has been tested for covid 19. It won't show until 48hours time. But he's stable and waiting to go on a ward.

@SkyPipDotBernie thinking of you all. What a horrid time to have something like this happen.
I know. He has the possible start of dimentia as well, so doesn't get why we are not supporting him in person. All the help he has given me over the years, the guy has never complained once, just always got his head down and got on with it. The typical ww2 attitude. Such a shame

Just been a scrolling through some comments on YouTube covid 19 videos. I cannot believe people moaning about wanting to get back to normal right now, and that this is nothing serious. I honestly want to strangle them all.

How damn hard is it, to stay at flaming home!? I don't even have a garden, yet I'm fine sticking to some very very very basic rules. My grandad could have covid 19, hes stuck in a hospital bed, and doesn't even get to see his home again possibly or any family, ever again.

Rant over 👍❤️

Some people are just 🤷🏾‍♀️🧐 the social distancing thing really p%##*s me off (I don’t swear much). I work evenings/nights in Tesco and people just don’t seem to care! They come in wearing masks and gloves yet will still be less than two metres near you. And not following the arrows 😬 I’m glad it closes at 10, but it’s difficult when I have a heavy workload. Luckily I’m missing the next one in just over a week.

Its bad isn't it. I notice when some people wear masks and gloves, they lose the 2 metre fear. Because they are protected. Selfish.

I appreciate you working to provide for people. Must be so worrying, sich a risk 😔

And defeats the whole point! But the aisle widths also make it impossible for social distancing. People don’t want to wait to go down an aisle because others are there. I admit when I’m working I try to zoom past people. Or if the aisle is busy I look for another to go down. They need to limit the people going into the shop but they’re not going to do that.

My local tesco has security watching for when most of the store traffic gets past the produce section. Which is about half way, then let's more people pile in😱

Assuming everyone is going to start at the side they come in and finish at the other end

The hard thing is with supermarkets (I think). Is how can you limit people enough, yet not lose custom for slow queues, but then still afford to pay permanent existing staff, and loads of extra covid temps, to keep up with the demand. Confusing

@SkyPipDotBernie sending you hugs and my support, hope your grandad will be okay.
My mum has stopped eating and is apparently not getting out of bed for most of the day. She is 86 and has given up, it's been her daily visits from family and friends that have given her a reason to live for the last few years.

☹️ This period is so much tougher on some people, puts things in perspective. I know it’s not the same but could they do a video call or even just a phone call? I do hope she at least starts to eat 🤞🏾😟
