At first, I thought Llewelyn's cystitis was making yet another comeback when the yellow patches and the stale smell turned up again, but when I picked up Nerys for the trip to the vet (for mites - Dizzy has a comeback), she had a wet belly.

At least, the new Polish vet was prepared to prescribe septrin this time round though he'd never heard of it, as Llewelyn has been successfully treated with it and is on the records now.

Nerys is on 0.5 ml twice a day. Is that the right dose for a guinea pig of just over a kilo?

Thanks a lot, yes I have!

I have some left over from Llewi's bout which ended just a couple of weeks ago, so I can up the dose easily.

I've heard 0.4ml - 1ml for pigs with bladder troubles. Given that you've caught Nerys' infection early on, the dose of 0.5ml twice daily should be sufficient when given for the full course.
