Hi

I have found lots of information on over 25c being too hot for piggies but what is the minimum temperature that they are comfortable with? Just thinking ahead as our summers are very short. They are indoor pigs but we do not have central heating and it can dip to 15c at night. Just wondering if I will need to leave the gas fire on low for them?

I don't know what the min temperature is but the winter you could put extra hay in hideys and at night put a blanket over the cage this will help trap their body heat. You can get heat mats and pads that you warm up to put in with them.

You can buy microwaveable snugglesafe heat pads for colder nights; they are widely available online. I use them myself and I also put a fleece over a sleeping area which holds in the warmth better when the heating is off.
