So, Rodney & Billy have asked Piggy Santa for a cosy/snuggle each. I have seen some cute ones one cosycavvies - however I have questions!

Obviously these are going to get pee'd in - do they end up stinking & how often do you have to take them out to wash?

My boys have only been living together since August (bonded boars due to bereavement) - this isn't likely to bring on a fallin gout is it? If someone wants to go in someone else's cosy? I had to buy them a tent each for their playpen because there was a minor disagreement one time... actually I think I just answered my own question there...

What are your thoughts?

Argh bad typing & computer won't let me edit - sorry!

I empty the snuggle daily (always full of poop!) Then wash the snuggle weekly, mine don't smell and she lives in the front room

All my previous piggies loved the snuggles :)

Mine all have their own cuddler beds which are washed every week or so. After they are freshly washed and put back in the cage they each seem to claim their own and stick with that particular one until it's washed again. As they wee in them and fill it with their scent then I tend to find that they don't go in each other's beds, but stick with their own.

Hmm I'm a bit nervous of causing a squabble... I will have to think some more...

I would buy them one each, thats what I do, no problems then. They probably do pee on them but I can't say I've noticed them being too soggy, I think as they're fleece they dry very quick.

I've got a varied selection of cosy tunnels/beds etc so they can each have a fresh one when I clean them out every other day.
I do like Deb H said and empty poop out each day, and change their cage hay tray each day, but the full clean out is every 2 days.
Never had problems with smelly cosy/snuggles.
Mine are quite happy to share and swop whatever suits them at the time. Never had problems with squabbles.
As long as you have plenty it shouldn't cause issues... :)
