HERE WE ARE... AGAIN!
friday, my babies were taken to the vet and treated for mites. When mentioning a bit of green snot inside their nose, my baby boy was given SMZ , or bactrim, due to him having a horrible reaction to baytril last time.

fast forward 4 days later, and he’s coughed about 3-4 times today. Once while eating and the rest were when he was standing up and in his hidey. But has stopped since, and haven’t heard it before now.

he is on allergy medication for long term due to him having some allergies to something, but could it be something worse ? Mamas worried, again!

Were you given a course of Bactrim? Did the vet listen to the chest?
Coughing a few times a day isn’t in itself too alarming (they will do it without being an medical issue) and if you are still giving him an antibiotic course, then four days isn’t a lot of time for it to have kicked in should he have a URI.
Ultimately though, any concerns and you should speak to your vet and have his chest listened to again

Yes he was given SMZ , which I was told it is bactrim in other words , as well as added Doxycycline. He often coughs while eating every now and then but today he’s just been a little more coughy! And it worries me !

Ok. Coughing a few times a day can be entirely normal, but do speak to your vet. It is better to check with them and it be nothing than leave it and find he is brewing an infection

That was the plan, they open in about 2 hours so I’ll be calling them when they do, I just wanted to make sure I wouldn’t be calling them for nothing ! His breathing is normal. No strange breathing or wheezing.

He’s possibly ok then but its always best to check
