Last night when I fed my girlies their veggies I noticed a strange sound coming from one of them, I tried watching them to see who it was and eventually found it was Muffin and it was a coughing sound.

She did it about 5 times and after she'd finished dinner she was alright I didnt hear it anymore but what is this? Is is a normal cough like we have or is it more serious in piggies, like a respiritory problem?

Ive heard it a couple of times before but I wasnt sure what the sound was until I saw her doing it, I hope shes ok, she is fine in herself, eating (very well) and happy still popcorning etc...

It's the greedy guts sympton - stuffing pigself to quickly!

If she isn't coughing at other times then I'd say eating too greedily. If she is coughing or sneezing regularly at other times you need to listen to her breathing and check her eyes and nose for any discharge or crustiness.

Haha oh thank god for that! Yes she is a real greedy guts, she goes mad when its dinner time!

Piggy piggy :(|)

Thanks for asking that! Mine do too, sometimes but it's always in combination with food. I thought it was because of the screaming for food, though.

Piggie coughs are very cute, it sounds like a very tiny little elf cough :)
