Coughs Once After Wheeking

Hi everyone iv got a question I hope you can help me with, i have charlie, he's 5 months old, had him since 15th January. Well iv looked everywhere for an answer, charlie always has coughed while wheeking, it's like he's making himself cough every time he weeks. I'm not overly concerned as since day 1 iv had this problem, he's been to the vets before twice and nothing was picked up, we don't use shavings, we by back to nature, also the hay we by is dust extracted, we don't spray anything in his room, I'm puzzled! It's probably normal, it's not frequent but every time he wheeks it happens

I would say that it's just because he is getting himself overly excited. If they are not exotic veterinarians then Charlie should be taken to one of them. Best of luck

Our Mikey sneezes and then makes a noise like a duck quack which we think is a cough. He is very healthy and like your Charlie has always done it. He does it in lap time so we don't think is dust - possibly an allergy to my husband! I think some of them just do these things.

Keep an eye out for signs of a respiratory infection (snotty nose, difficulty in breathing etc.) If it is just now and again, it may be something that he does. If it gets worse or you are worried, see a vet.
