Just seen two adds on different sites one says Guinea pig free to good home its not getting on with my rabbit! The other says,just rescued eight baby guinea pigs never kept these animals before so no idea how to sex them but wanted to rescue them myself !
 
Maybe you could email the person to join the forum and have them sexed?
 
Just worried that this person has tried to do something nice but is going to get in way above their head
 
Please just be careful with free-ads etc. It's great that we all want to help animals in need but it's so easy to sucked in to either taking on more than we can cope with or have experience to deal with or ending up just feeling miserable at the amount of animals out there in dreadful situations.

Education is important and pointing people in the direction of their local good quality rescue is a great idea as many people are just not aware that rescues exist or can help. If you are able to do this kindly and gently without judging the other person's situation then by all means go for it but many of us have chosen not to look at these sites because there just isn't the time or resources out there to help the sheer amount of animals out there in need. Rescues all over the country are overflowing with piggies who have come for horrific neglect or abuse situations and there just isn't the capacity ot help with all the unwanted pets and unplanned pregnancies as well as those. :( It's not right but it's an unfortunate fact of life.
 
Your right of course,we could all easily end up with more animals then we can manage.

Unfortunately some of us have seen members on here get themselves in sticky situations, hence the warning :) Not as easy to walk away though, I know that. One of my pairs of boys came from a mercy mission I couldn't walk away from...
 
I think most people who have a deep regard for animals have at one time or another found it hard to walk a way,I know my husband and I have certainly experienced this.
 
I am lucky.Have a rescue near me that helps if I need to get piggies out of a bad situation.May be worth contracting local rescues before taking on.
 
i see loads daily on gumtree, i saw one that didn't get on with the rabbit & i saw a rabbit free to good home because the puppy doesn't get on with it ! grrrr!:hb:
 
Drives you mad doesn't it.I don't understand it.Whatever I bring in has to fit in with the rest
