I THINK NOT!

my mum has agreed to let the pggies live indoors :smitten:

well

my mum has actually hugged my guinea pigs! AND when she agreed to let them live indoors she said until we move but my mum has finally had her heart melted by them doing variouse things i.e sleeping in hay racks, purring, popcorning etc and she said when we move we will amke sure theren is a room for the pigs!!

sorry but my mum has tried her hardest not to bond with the guinea pigs cos she thinks they resemlbe rats but now, she actually said they are cute

Thats great news! :D Just don't give her any reason to wish she hadn't said they could come in. I find having my piggies indoors sometimes means quite a bit of mess. They manage to scatter hay etc. These are the sort of things she will find annoying if she isn't as keen on the piggies are you are. Just keep everything really clean and tidy and then she will see how lovely it is having them indoors! :D

They are so much more part of the family when they are indoors!

Brilliant.

Couldn't imagine mine anywhere other than in here with me, bang in front of the telly ::)

Terrific news, yes piggies love to be indoors.
Last night Duke loved being a free range boy, he even followed OH nearly to the kitchen, very cute and they've only bonded the last 6 months, quite cute to watch :smitten:

Thats great news! No one can resist the piggies! They will be sooo happy to be inside with there mama!

My mum has fallen in love with my piggies too :) but the rest of my family thinks theyre overgrown rats! :( lol

Where abouts in the house do you guys keep your piggie cages?

my mums was the same they are rodents she said but then she started watching gingerly stroking them and then cuddling them now she is helping to pig sit when we go away in 2 weeks , she even helped my son last time when one was poorly and died of a terminal illness , and she was so upset picture this a nan of 64 and a grown lad of 25 crying over my pig ahhhhhhhhh warms your heart doesn't it? they get to your hearts in the end dont they? :smitten:
great news by the way, bet she'll have her own herd in the next year ;D

Couldn't agree more. They can make a terrible mess, our dining room (where the piggies live) is normally littered with rogue hay etc.

Make sure you keep it clean and then she should have no reason to change her mind :)

Our conservatory is the same, try and put them somewhere that's got an easy clean floor (lino, tiles, laminate or something if you've got it in any of your rooms) that can be swept daily - it's much easier then getting hay etc. stuck in carpet ;)

we were going to keep them either in my bedroom or a conservatory (with a controlled heat i.e cool in summer etc ) at the moment they are behind me in the computer room, I love hearing their chorus of squealing when they hear me come down stairs. The room is already littered with abgs of food, hay toys etc so I am tidying it all up tomorrow :) the pigs seem much more relaxed and confident aswell, i even caught my mum reading a guinea pig book :o and she wants to get a texel baby from my friend's piggy thathad babies (dumb pet shop sexing) i am tempted, ikkle texels :smitten: ;D
