Oh Adelle it's such an awful thing to have to decide one way or the other. I think if you decide to give her the chance then if she goes during the op you did all you could for her; she also will have gone before she got really poorly so you know she won't have sufferred xx
Agree with Poppys mum, whichever you decide, if she leaves you during the operation, she will never experience the pain & suffering that could come afterwards without it - although you may feel you have let her go prematurely. remember you have given her an extra 18 happy months of life.
but if she pulls through she may have many months of good quality life to look forwards to

Also i think there's not a forum member that is so relieved it's not us having to make this awful decision about our guinea, we're all behind you willing little Miss Fudge on. (Dont tell the others but she's one of my forum favourites (i have a soft spot for the golden oldies)).
Don't worry about crying it will help you relieve the stress & tension that has been building up, you need a release of emotion to help hold it together on Friday for both of you.
If its any help i'm also crying for you both its such a heartbreaking situation(big softie me!).
