wasn't quite sure whether I should post this in housing or behavior. As some know I have a bonded pair, Max (fixed) and Ruby. I also have another sow Reily. Ruby and Reily do not get along, Ive introduced them twice now and had bloodshed on the second attempt. I am trying to find Reily some dates, but it is proving difficult as my local rescues and animal shelter don't have any pigs in. The one pig rescue in my area, or 100 miles of my area seems to have shut down. Reily has started attacking to grid divider in their CC cage trying to get to the other two. (Ruby seems to be the one not willing to accept her). Reily and my male seem to get along fine, I had a thought today and I am not sure if it is a good idea, would it be possible to trade the girls off? So they each get time with my male? Just until I can find another piggy companion for Reily?

I don't think putting the boar with both the girls separately would be best as if her starts smelling of the girl, it may anger the other girl a little if you know what i mean ?
I'm not sure though as i'm not experienced with this sort of things, but thats just my thoughts on it.
I'm sure someone else can clear it up though (:

I just talked to my favorite clerk at the local pet shop and she told me one of her rescue pigs just had babies yesterday, so hopefully in a few weeks. She also told me the reason the animal shelter never has any is because they put them down as soon as they come in, so sad. That is how she got the pregnant female, someone was going to take her to the shelter and she stepped in.
