Good morning!

Up bright and early for a check on the piggies this morning. Upon doing their feeding and what not, this particular spot caught my eye - and there are a few spots similar like this around the cage. I’m in work in a minute until 11, but I wanted to check if someone could please confirm if this is blood? If it is, I’ll confirm which piggy it is and take for treatment! I’ve counted 3 spots similar to this so far, and they must have happened either overnight or late evening as they weren’t there before.

I’m very good at overreacting so this is why I’m checking first! Thanks guys <3 photo below!

It does look like it could be blood in urine unless they are something which could have coloured their wee

I'd say it's the beetroot too. I'd keep an eye on them for a few days before rushing to the vet. I've given myself a heart stopping moment a few times after feeding beetroot. The first time it was the red poop that did it!

Haha, thank you! This is why I posted, completely forgot about the beetroot! Everyone's running around, squeaking and demanding more veg so I'm sure everyone's doing just fine :P

Yes, been there, think it was bistro salad mix we had, with a bit of chard and grated beetroot we went to the vet think we were talking both pigs at the time..I can't remember, the vet asked if we had fed a bit of beetroot/chard..I went a bit red in the face!
