Countdown To Eddie's New Friend Arriving...

What a beautiful little pig to add to the family! I know trimming dark nails is hard :/. What I do is I have the OH bring me a pig and I put them on my couch arm rest/pillow with the nearby lamp on. I only clip the points as I'm so scared to hurt them, it took me a bit of courage to sit here and do each of all the piggies nails in one go (I was nervous but manned up for them). Winnie has all brown nails so it's nerve wracking. When I have their nail in the clippers, I do a slight little squeeze and if they have no reaction, I clip it. If they wheek a bit, I take the clipper away, pet/comfort them, and then go back to business. A piggie will easily tell you if you are right or wrong! If you just listen to them, they will guide you :)!

funnily enough, i've never caught a dark nail before, but i caught one of chesney's light ones. but he did move as i was about to cut.

i can do back nails myself but not front. especially what we call the curly curly :)) you all know the one :)) my o/h has them on his knee and i trim all the nails. i love back nails compared to front nails though!

the shining a torch under never seemed to work on my rabbits nails, but it works well on eddie's luckily. :) i thought he would be terrible with nails but he's actually brilliant :luv:

her owner picked her up on sunday from boarding and has my details now so any day now i should hear from her :)

We need a countdown clock! I am excited for you and Crazy Eddie :)

i'm in touch now with treacle's owner via text. she's probably bringing her to us next weekend, so another week to wait, but should come around quickly. it's nice to have something to look forward to :D although i am suddenly soooo nervous!

on the plus side though - eddie is doing really well. think i said already, but his grief followed a very healthy pattern and he's coping very well but i know he will be so happy to have a new friend. :)

So pleased he is doing well, I hope the week will fly quickly for you and Eddie!
