I have a 10-12 week old bore. He has course white hair. He is an Abyssinian. When I hold him he sheds white hair like crazy. Today I also noticed dander on my shirt. Is this normal or should I be concerned?

That's completely normal. :) It is probably dry skin. But of course, I could be wrong and it could be more serious.

Awwww, so cute! You want to look for patches of missing or thinning hair or areas of hairless dry skin. I don't notice that much dander, but all pigs do shed and some shed like crazy! The coat should still look thick and even without thin or bald patches, though (except for small hairless patches behind the ears and on the inner front paws- baldness/thinning there is normal.)

I'm not sure if it's the same for piggies but often animals can shed more if they're stressed. Baby pigs are worried little creatures when they're young so it could be a bit of that, providing there's no redness or signs of mites/fungal :)
