hi guys

noticed the past 2 days craig has been sneezing more than normal hes not normally a sneezy pig. iv noticed him 'wiping' his nose with his paw also like he is irritated. i checked up his nose last night and it looked ever so slightly moist up his nostril. checked his breathing couldnt hear anything abnormal.

no other symptoms being shown. I'm on guard and observing. iv put a tissue next to his cage with some vicks on, give him half a garlic capsule and iv added extra vitamin c to his water and put him a heatpad in his cage. is there anything else i can do to help him iv got some sudafed in the cupboard but not sure to dose?

ps craig was in my room for 2 nights which has a perfumey smell to it but even though iv moved him back into the pig room he still sneezing

My Tigger started like that, sneezey with a moist nose and then a couple of days later I could hear his wee nose all bunged up and it was the start of a URI :( Has he got a crusty nose, or on his paws where he's wiped his nose is there any crustyness? I can't really help much more, if I'm in any doubt I just take them to the vet to be sure :) Hope he gets better soon x

I would keep a really close eye on him, it's hard though isn't it because they hide illness so well, Tigger was acting completely normal throughout, it didn't appear to bother him at all. Have you changed your hay at all, or if they are kept on fleece, your washing powder? Sorry I can't advise on the Sudafed xox

i havent changed my hay or anything. it is difficult to detect illness i watch them like hawks all the time. a change they have experienced lately is they are in a room right next to a radiator which they arent normally xx
