As I can't add photos to Jenny's website and have failed miserably at trying to add photos from photobucket to the rescue facebook page, I thought I would make a little thread here so that santa's could see pictures of the piggies that have been nominated. I can't tell you all their stories but will ask Jenny to add some comments when she can.

But, remember.... Secret Santa is secret, so if you are one of our santas... sshhhh! :(|)

Cocoa... beautiful girl who came into rescue a few of months ago with an awful abscess on her back leg. It has taken a lot of time to heal and she had to put up with lots of treatment but it's looking good now. She has joined the group of life-time residents called The Misfits. The neutered boar in the group, XP, loves Cocoa very much.

Little Mo... I have a huge soft spot for Mo (she's fell asleep on my lap the first night she came into rescue and I have been smitten ever since). She came into rescue as an unwanted pet. She was living with another piggy, Boo, in a double hutch outside. Both they, and another pair, Taggy (Wiebke's Tegyd) and her then husboar, Jack Black, had previously lived in children's bedrooms but as the girls became teenagers, they no longer wanted the pigs indoors and were uninterested in caring for them. Mo is blind and Boo was wasting away. Within minutes of coming into rescue, it became clear that Mo was attacking Boo and they were separated. Mo was very confused with all the changes and we think she had been stopping Boo from eating, probably because they didn't have enough food. Mo couldn't see and was just looking out for herself; it can't have helped that she was living in a hutch with a ramp. As Mo is blind, Jenny decided that she would stay in rescue and she became the founder member of The Misfits.

Whiskey... I love Whiskey! Whiskey has been in rescue a long time. He is a feisty boy and quite a biter (I have the teeth marks to prove it). He lives on his own but watches everything that goes on from his favourite position on top of his house.

Just J... has also been in rescue a long time. He has been passed over because of his red eyes but I think he's a smasher. He's a real sweetie and loves a cuddle.

Buggs... another boy who has been in rescue a long time and passed by because of his red eyes. Buggs is a real character and how could you not love a piggy with such a cool hairstyle?

Mabel and Olive have recently come into rescue. Their child owners had grown up and left home, so the family made the decision to rehome them. They have been very well looked after and loved, and are very cuddly. They are about 4 years old and real ladies. Although the girls are looking for a forever home, it may take a while to find the perfect one for them because of their age.

Thankyou to Vicky for organising the Secret Santa and to everyone taking part. It's lovely that so many people are thinking of rescue pigs this Christmas. xx>>>

I can't believe anyone could overlook Mabel & Olive, they look extremely healthy for their age! Adorable, all of them x)

Aww, thanks for taking the time to show us some of the secret santa piggies Flips :) looking forward to seeing them with their pressies! They all deserve them so much! xx>>>

They are all so so gorgeous!

Why oh why do people pass piggies with red eyes over? My mum's Ben Ben has red eyes, and with his colouring (he looks a lot like Just J!) - I think he's beautiful!

Just to add a bit more about the piggies

Whiskey I am pretty sure is blind or partially sighted, in the new year I am going to try and bond him and try and get him a bit more user friendly (anyone with spare fingers please apply) He was bought from a pet shop in a garden centre as his mate had an infected eye that the shop weren't doing anything with, the lady bought them, got them home, they started fighting so seperated, she kept the ill one to treat and Whiskey got a place here.

Buggs came from a big rescue in 2009 in Chippenham that some of you may remember, 200 piggies running around in someones back garden. It had got out of hand! Fi from Bristol Rescue organised 200 rescue spaces, I took 8 and Buggs was one of them, I have tried to bond him with Just J, that didnt work, then with another piggie Rufus and Rufus didnt like him, he is going to be tried with another piggie shortly so there is a chance he will have a home before Christmas. If not I will try another bonding!

Just J came from Devon, I went to pick him up and his dying mate, originally it was just J who was advertised but the advert said he had a mate who wasnt very well. Unfortunately his mate didn't make it, he was one of the piggies I couldnt fix. He had pneumonia and was untreated, unfortunately the antibiotics didnt have enough time to kick in. Just J has also been tried with a few piggies but none he wants to be friends with at the mo, fingers crossed for the next few weeks.

Aww they are all so gorgeous! Can't wait to see what santa brings them.

Aw, this is a lovely way of members seeing the SS piggies, they're all beautiful x)
I found a pic of mine and fell in love drool - keep adding bits to the pressie box though :x
Hope they all get lots of lovely treats :)

Jenny you have some very gorgeous piggies there, I can't believe they haven't been snapped up. I am sure that these piggies SS is going to spoil them all rotten - they deserve itx)x)

These lucky piggies have also been nominated for Secret Santa.

XP

XP came to Crawley from a large rescue operation along with a number of other boys. He was in rescue a long time without being chosen so the decision was made for him to be neutered this year. He was going to be put forward for re-homing but Mo needed a partner because she was lonely and hadn't wanted to be paired with any girls, so Jenny tried them together and XP is now Mr Mo! Since then he has gained 4 more wives and together they make up 'The Misfits' and are permanent residents. He may not have liked it at the time, but neutering has made this lad a happy boy indeed.

Toffee

Lovely Toffee came into rescue with her friend Tilly. They were devoted to each other but unfortunately Tilly was a satin piggy and went far to soon to the Bridge after a period of deterioration due to associated illnesses (we still miss you baby :rose ). Toffee has joined The Misfits and seems happy again with her new friends.

Salvatore

Salvatore was originally at Cheyslemore Guinea Pig Rescue but moved to Crawley when they closed. Salvatore is a gorgeous chunky lad but has been feeling quite sorry for himself recently as he has a fungal infection. He is responding well to treatment and is enjoying some extra tlc indoors.
