My two guinea pigs cinnamon and marble have been known to bump heads FOREVER. Even last night I had them both out and there was some chattering going on. Anyways, I woke up this morning (fairly late) and I see them both in the same area... (their areas are split in half by a border) I think my sisters accidentally put them together. (They left for school about 5 hours before I woke up. Anyways, marbles water bottle was empty (he doesn’t drink that much but cinnamon drinks A LOT meaning they were sharing) they were both at the bowl (marble eating hay and cinnamon laying down just eating every once in a while) and I quickly grabbed cinnamon and placed him in his side. They seemed upset, kinda just froze. I felt this feeling of happiness of them finally getting along, bigger cage, less hassle putting that border in, no more scary fights that result in expensive vet visits. And they’re been great! I removed it and cinnamon immediately ran over to marble at his food bowl sniffed him and they ate together! I don’t know if this is a miracle or is caused by cinnamon recently becoming a senior piggy and marble getting out of that biting teen stage and becoming a sweet boy who licks like crazy and LOVES butt scratches. Can anyone make sense of this?

Wow! Once piggies decide they don’t like each other, they generally don’t change their mind, so you are a lucky one! Keep a close eye on them in case tensions come back, but otherwise good luck with them! It’s much nicer when they get on!

I feel like boars are slightly more malleable in that regard, especially once both boars get past the teenage phase and hormones aren't flying around everywhere.

@Nattzzz, I agree with @Piggies&buns that a very close eye needs to be kept on them both, but good luck with it. If they're happy with putting up with each other, that's a win.
