Crazy piggie

My piggie has gone stir crazy and woke me up at 5am this morning doing the wall of death around his cage and squeaking!

He has a huge cage so he's not confined, I think he needs a friend as soon as possible! I'm looking for a rescue baby boar for him (so that if they dont get along the rescue will be able to take the baby back and maybe try another). He cuddled up to a soft hairbrush yesterday and squeaked at it, made me really sad that some piggies live alone all the time and may be lonely. The sooner he gets a little playmate the better!

He's also refusing to eat anything except parsley, spinach and occasionally cucumber now. Apples and grapes are glared at and left, even though those were his favourites last week. Corn on the cob was thrown into a corner untouched. Might try him with sweet peppers later......

how is he with eating his hay,pellets,grass? try some watermelon or any melon alot of piggies seem to love it maybe try some pak choy or bok choy also

Would your local rescue be prepared to bond him for you?

I tried him with a pepper last night and he loved it. I also have some sugarsnap peas, and a 'melon medley' from Tesco. He seems to like the strong flavoured things - parsley, peppers etc, so I will look into getting him more stuff like that.

He's wolfing down his pellets (Burgess with blackcurrant). Hard to tell with the hay - sometimes I hear him munching it but mostly he just squashes it down and uses it as a bathroom :p. He's got Timothy Hay with marigold and nettle.

I have spoken to my local rescue and they have nothing suitable right now. Maybe in a few weeks.

I will put a wanted ad up.
