Crazy problem, pls help :/

Hi people, I have a littl', cute, all white guinea pig named Kiki, and he's about 8 months old... But in recent time I have a problem with him.. When I touch his lower back, he starts to scrach violently and, I guess, hes back leg has a spasm and he rolls over like mad for a few seconds.. o.O
I rly don't know what to do with him, I don't have a vet in my town, so.. If someone knows whats wrogn with him, pls tell me, so I can search for a treatment online, or better yet, tell me how to cure him..

Could be mites, could be fungal, could just be your pig doesn't like being touched there.. it is hard to tell so you need to take him to a vets for proper diagnosis, even if that means you have to travel to do so. Good luck, I'm sure the vet will help you.
 
Please take him to the vets, he will need a proper diagnosis. Hope he will be ok.
 
Where abouts are you? I'm sure someone on the forum will be able to help with finding a good vet.
 
Bathe him in an antidandruff shampoo and treat him with ivermectin as insructed on the packet if you really can not get to a vet . You can buy these on the internet.This may help him in the short term but you should find a vet as soon as possible.
 
could well be mites/fungal, do try and get him checked over by a vet.

But thinking outside the box, is he otherwise fine? its just that when I rub the lower back of one of my boys he does the same thing and reaches round and tries to nip, he also sticks he tongue out and gets a bit frisky! it's like he has a love/hate reaction to the sensation and this is also scent gland area which is very sensitive to touch for some. Just another thought!

Pa ispisao sam na pochetku thread-a... kad ga mazim po donjem delu ledja, pochne kao ** se chesha zadnjom nogom i kao ** ga uhvati grch ili neshto, uglavnom, pochne ** se baca po akvarijumu i na ledja i ** se kotrlja i svashta neshto, jedno 10ak sekundi.. i posle je sav zadihan i uplashen, nemam pojma shta mu je, niti shta ** mu radim o.O
 
zovi veterinarski fax * bgu bas ljudi znaju sta rade ako ** zovi zooloski vrt ima neki crnja razumese * njih do jaja isto je lekar ,ja sam mog danas vodio na inekcije neke al jbg moj ima 7 godina :)

e evo ti od veterinarskog ,to je ambulanta za male zivotinje 2764-366 a za zooloski jebiga nemam ,to sam iso tamo :)pazi nije to neki opasan problem ** znas nemoj ** se brines ,moje ima kataraktu suze mu oci i poceo je ** mrsavi ko blesav ,dobio je kortiko steroid i antibiotik ,ko nov ,ide i sutra ,al je ljut na mene sto je dobio inekcije ,kad god promenim brzinu * kolima ka tamo kad turbina ispusti pritisak on skvikne ,kad smo se vracali on mi okrenuo dupe i cuti * kavezu hahahahahahaha :))
 
Well i hope you guys are sorting out little Kiki's problem :)

by the way i have a friend in the US one of her piggies is called Kiki too :))

@mihilow Hahahaha... ma znam kakvi su oni, ja sam chuvao josh ranije 3 komada, ali nisam ima problema s njima i ziveli mi 6god.. A ovog mi je cura kupila za godishnjicu, pa sad mora ** ga pazim kao malo vode na dlanu :))
 
Most of my piggies have what I call an itchy spot and I don't think it's anything to worry about. For mine anyway, it just seems to induce a itching/scratching response from the piggy when gently scratched in a particular area, with mine always over their rump.

I would think that as long as your piggy is not showing signs of being unwell and is eating a pooping normally then you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Make sure also that your piggies skin looks in good condition ie no scabs or cuts and also that the coat is healthy too.

Either way though, it would be good for you to know of a vet that you can take your guinea pig to if there is an emergency. Good luck with the search.
