Critical care in freezer?

I have an open bag of critical care, XL bag. Even though I have a little chubster loving that anise-soup, he is not in need for it. The bag would expire. Can I put in the freezer even though is opened?

I've looked on the Oxbow Critical Care Website and the Tips and Tricks page says

How to Store Critical Care

• Mixed product: use within 24 hours
• Opened bags:
• Oxbow Critical Care Herbivore and Omnivore: Store sealed at room temp for 30 days
• Oxbow Critical Care Carnivore: Store in fridge and use within 7 days
• Unopened: Up to 2 years in a cool, dry location
• Avoid freezing to protect vitamin stability

The Help Section says

Although we have received anecdotal reports from some Critical Care users who believe freezing extends shelf-life, none of our Critical Care products have been tested for this manner of storage. As a result, we cannot formally recommend freezing any of our Critical Care varieties to prolong shelf-life. It is also important to note that frequent thawing and refreezing of the product can increase the risk of condensation forming on the inside of the packet, thereby increasing the risk of mould formation. Prolonged freezing or frequent thaw/freeze cycles can also result in vitamin degradation.

I'll save some for mister Bangs to enjoy between meals, and search for someone who might be in need of it and give it away.

If anyone on the forum is interested Harry gives it away if you pay the stamp. He will keep a little of the critical for himself, its around 300g left in total. The bag is opened this may.

The rest he just doesn't eat. Everything is opened - Kongo loved the pellets and Joint Support! - during this winter/spring.

Harry also gives away one of his favorite balls. It might have some hair on it. He has so many balls he wants to give away some happiness too!
