Hi everyone,

This may seem like a silly thing to be asking, but can gp's get sore throats?
Alfie was weeking at me earlier, being talkative and wanted an afternoon snack, and his week sounded different. It wasn't as high pitched as normal, seemed like abit of an effort. Almost like we sound when are throats are dry!

He seems very happy in himself, still eating and pooing lots, but his squeek definatley sounded abit horse.{:| Just want to make sure that its not a sign of something more sinister.:(

Anyone else had the same thing?

Something similar has happened to Blossom one of our sows. I took her to the vet to be on the safe side and we came to the conclusion that she had scratched her throat on some sharp hay. She was perfectly happy in herself, eating and pooing etc. fine, after about 48 hours she was back to normal.

Hope Alfie is ok.:)

I've never heard of piggies getting sore throats. Hope it's nothing serious.
