Hello I have taken a picture of crust and redness around my boys nose which I have I just noticed tonight. He isn’t sneezing and doesn’t have runny eyes so I’m not sure what this could be? It appears to bother him when I tried to get a closer look. The pictures make it seem much brighter but in real life it isn’t so noticeable, I had him up close to me for a cuddle when I spotted it. Any advice would be great, thank you.

Hi! Just keep an eye on it for it. Hopefully it is just an almighty one-off sneeze from some hay or hay dust getting into his nose.
The picture is of Carwyn having stuck his nose where it obviously should not have gone in July. I have pictures from shortly before where his nose is perfectly fine and it was fine again once he had cleaned himself. ;)

If the area goes larger and creates more and more hair loss and soreness on his nose, you are dealing with a fungal infection.
He if is showing more signs of wheezy or crackly breathing or yellowish/greenish gunk around the eyes, then you are dealing with a URI.

Great thanks for your advice. I panicked when I saw it as I have my two out all the time and was worried i hadn’t noticed it before. Will definitely keep a close eye :)
