Crusty butt?

Hi.

Both of my piggies have crusty butts sometimes, then it goes away. Also before this happened there is sometimes a liquid ( looks like urine ) I don't know what to do for my piggies. It doesn't hurt them and they are well and healthy but my parents think they are fine. What should i do? Is it serious or am i making it out to be bigger than it is?

Oh sorry that it isn't enough information here is some moor details.
I will be holding my female piggies and then put the back and they will do their business and urinate and whatever. I will hold them an hour or too later and there is this yellow/white crusty looking thing on their backside. I know it isn't much detail but its the best i could come up with.

Have you checked whether your diet is too high in calcium and your girls are making lots of milky pees?

(Not always) Carrot + cucumber
Romain lettuce, pepper and maybe parsley
(Rare) a piece of fruit e.g. apples or blueberries.
I'll send photos tomorrow, as I don't want to disturb my piggies in the land of hay and happiness.

What are your pellets (brand/amount) and your water hardness? More calcium can come from those sources than from veg, which many people are not aware of. It is the only thing that I can think of would cause crusts around the genitalia from dried pee.

Also they have a run round outside and eat a TON of grass which could be the case?

I'm not that sure about water hardness, but the brand of pellets are called nature's feast. They are good for healthy teeth, helping the digestion and apparently it stimulates the senses. It's also rich in fiber. We give them a small amount every couple days.
