I noticed today that Connie had some yellow gunk around her right eye. It was crusty and yellow. After wiping it off with a damp cloth, her eye looked back to normal. Was it just sleep or could it be something else? I've never noticed it before :(

keep an eye on her, i really dont know for sure, but if its there tomorrow i'd take her to the vet

I agree. Piggies do produce milky substance from their eyes which they use to wash with. This could have dried in the corner of her eye. She could also have poked herself in the eye with hay which is quite common. Look out for her eye going cloudy. This can be a sign that there is an injury or infection. Check her eye to make sure their is nothing in it. Syringe the eye a couple of time with some water to see if anything becomes dislodged. Hope this helps.

Yes, do check that she hasn't got a piece of hay lodged in her eye, or something else.

Boil some water, cool it, then gently wipe the eye over. Do this a couple of times and if there is still a crusty or weepiness about the eye, best get it checked by a vet.

I agree
my guinea pig had a bit of hay in his eye and it went all cloudy
Its normally nothing to worry about but if you do notice it again a trip to the vets is probabley neccessary:)

It could be the milky substance that has dried yellow. Flora gets this sometimes, it shows up more on her as she is jet black around her face. :)
