crusty eyes and runny nose?

Hi as afew of you know i found a baby pig the other day.had a vet check and he was apparently fine.....now week later he's got crusty eyes and a runny nose its like he's trying to clear his nose all the time. Hes been sleeping on his own in the hay right in the corner. Not scared by running into the hut like he did at beginning. He's gone very quiet.

I'm going to the vets again tomorrow but could some one tell me what it might be?

he's eating and had alittle water. But he is looking very sorry for himself.

oh no, poor lamb, maybe starting with a uri, but the vets visit is definately the best way to go.

It sounds like a respiratory infection

Have you got any Vicks vapourub? If you have put a tiny little bit on the fur above his nose, it may help until you can get him there in the morning. If he sits huddled in a corner & stops eating or drinking you may need to get him there before though.

Hi Love i do hope you have been able to take this little one to the vets..........i'm just getting over an URI with one of my girls.....its something that must be got on top of as soon as possible.

It is a respiratory infection. He is very ill with it. He's fighting as much as he can but he's weak and can't walk. O/h and i are taking it in turns to watch him through the night.

my boy is sleeping now.

He didn't make it =( poor little guy. He put up such a huge fight. I'm crying my eyes out everytime i see his lifeless body. RIP little hedgewick aka albe you are deeply missed already.

These damn infections creep in so quickly no matter how vigilant we are
I'm so bloomin paranoid with my lot and drive my family up the wall keep checking them but I really can't help myself If I didn't have to go to work, I swear I'd just sit with them all the time :...
Run free little one to the bridge to be safe with the others who are waiting for you :0
