Crusty lips....

My new guinea pig Humbug has crusty scabs on the corners of her lips.. has anyone got a recommendation, of a remedy I could give her? She seems otherwise of, albeit a bit quiet and subdued, probably due to being stuck in P@H for 6-7 weeks (I know because I've been watching her all that time) which makes her about 16 weeks old..
I suspect she has a yeast infection, she's eating ok, and has just started to accept being picked up..

Anybody? She's going to the vets today, I was hoping some one could recommend a natural remedy I could give her..

It sounds very much like cheilitis.

The vet seemed to think it's ringworm:{ despite the fact I mentioned that I think she has a yeast infection (been hitting the books:red), the medicine she gave me can help with bacterial infections as well, and has anti-inflammatory properties - Surolan, so maybe it will still help, she has a second appointment next thurs, so hopefully, it will have cleared up by then..
