Crusty Nipples Anyone?

There's always something with my piggies these days
Whether it's hay related eye injuries or whatever

Anyway - Pecan (The Boss) as beautiful as ever but has some serious crusty nipples!
She has been treated for ovarian cysts (successfully) but still..

Best course of action?

when maisie had crusty nipples we had to apply vaseline with a cotton bud to loosen the crust and remove it. best to mention it to the vet aswell though and take her for a checkup.

I would get her checked again, how long ago was she treated?

End of Feburary. Always had crusty nipples even before she was diagnosed

Was it with injections? has the vet confirmed the cysts have gone?

Yep three injections, she had an ultra sound which was inconclusive. Offered to do an X-ray but I declined as it a pretty extreme thing and didn't want her to be put under. The vet checked and found a small ones which caused her discomfort and after the injections the cyst was gone.
Plus her hair had grown back and change in attitude as well.

Ok, maybe speak to the vet and see what they think. Cysts are strange, my Millie's recently burst of their own accord, one day she was round the next she was slimline, very bizarre.
