Crusty Nose

Hi there!

My guinea pig has a crusty nose, I've taken him to the vets and the vet couldn't be hear anything wrong with his breathing but gave him a weeks worth of Baytril anyway as he had the crusty nose. This was a couple of weeks ago. Today I've noticed it has got crusty again, it's a dark colour, not bloody coloured or black but a dark neutral kind of colour. His breed are renowned for fungal issues and he has suffered with it so I was wondering if it could be fungal? I don't have alot of hope in my vets since my favourite left but I could find a pig savvy one on Saturday. Would some anti fungal cream on his nose be a good shout?

Looks like your boy had a romp in some dusty hay and then an almighty sneeze! Nothing to worry!

Hay mountain is his favourite thing in the world, he is only happy when it's a big pile! I sometimes wonder if he was a mountain goat in a past life hahaha
