Me too il have a neutered burnie. But i know spaying is more invasive..so yea give it a tryThat’s a good idea @Skypipdot
I may need to resort to that next week when Merab is spayed.
I do that too! Bloaty Puggle had cucumber spread with critical care yesterday evening kept her nicely hydrated and guts moving while the Zantac medicine worked its magicI never introduced slowly and nothing bad happened. But do it anyway to be safe. I never knew this.
I make what i call critical crackers for sick pigs. Just a slice of cucumber with critical care spread thickly on top. All my pigs have loved it. But if they have lost all appetite its no use
Mine both ate a ring each of parsnip last night. I have no idea what goodness are in them though, but i have read ages ago that it is safeMine will only eat parsnip peelings and not the ends that you chop off and they will only eat courgette very reluctantly and only if its peeled.
Courgettes are evil according to my piggies, poor imitations of cucumber to be avoided at all costs. Not tried parsnip yet, will be avoiding new foods for a while because of bloaty Puggle pants and her sensitive tummy...Anyone tried giving corgette or parsnips?
how is the bloat? Dot bloated up huge when i gave her spinachI do that too! Bloaty Puggle had cucumber spread with critical care yesterday evening kept her nicely hydrated and guts moving while the Zantac medicine worked its magic![]()

Puggle is much better now thanks, but she seems to just be a bloaty girl. No pattern to it except coriander or she seems to bloat on weekends... maybe because there are more snacks then! Going to take her back for a proper vet check and see if we can any more tests done and maybe get some "just in case" zantac prescribed seeing as she's bloat prone and it works really well for her...how is the bloat? Try a massage with something that vibrates under a pillow. I use a back massagerPuggle is much better now thanks, but she seems to just be a bloaty girl. I’ve done that a few times, it’s so cute to see 6 piggies all eating one cucumber.I cut a thick slice then quarter it - 1 chunk per piggy.
Mine would probably devour an entire cucumber if I put one in their cage!
Might give it a go then - for the entertainment if nothing elseI’ve done that a few times, it’s so cute to see 6 piggies all eating one cucumber.
