Cucumber

So we all know that a staple in the piggy’s diet is cucumber, but just out of curiosity how do you cut yours up? If it’s is rounds it’s funny to watch the piggy’s chew round the outside and rotate said piece of cuc in their mouths, do you de-seed? Or just chop up into chunks? I’m just interested to know

Rounds, no de-seeding. Sometimes vary shapes when cucumber seems to be going out of favour.

Mine just get circles. And sometimes if they are being picky I find the centre seeds left in a mini damp circle in the cage. Messy creatures.

Mine get circles and they also nibble the skin off every single bit before eating the middles, but they do always eat the middles. No de-seeding - who has the time?

I cut it into sticks, they don't like the middle sometimes and leave it hidden somewhere, Horrible to touch when you don't know its there, they often catch me out.

Interesting I once (when I needed to use critical care) wrapped it in a basil leaf my boy ate the leaf and managed to squish out the crit care

I cut them quite a thick slice off and then chop it into quarters, kinda like a pizza! I can’t believe some piggies don’t like the middle bit, that’s my boys fave part! Loki tends to eat the middle bit and then come back to the rest a bit later

Yes thats what we do, a thick slice chopped into quarters... they all love the middle except Tallulah bat-hippo who hides damp creepy-feeling half-chewed cucumber middles in her bed to freak us out...

Mine leave it if i cut it into circles - fussy so I end up slicing the outside off for them with a minimum amount of middle! They eat it then!

Slices here too, although one of my boys has taken a dislike to the middles at the moment, but luckily his friend is more than happy to follow behind and finish them off , or more often just steal them straight out of his mouth but at least between the 2 of them there's no abandoned squishy bits left around.

Mine get it how I feel like cutting it that day. Chunks cut into quarters, rounds, chunks cut in half. They're not fussy how it's served!

Each piggy grabs a piece and runs off to a quiet spot to eat.

chunks, quarters, slices or sticks. Really whatever I feel like at the time. Sometimes If I am having cucumber in my salad I will give them the peels as I am not a fan but they love peels of any sort.

Mine is cut in slices and then I cut it again in smaller strips (look at the photo below). We've always had dental piggies so I make sure the dental piggy can pick up the food. Although sometimes I give them big chunks to have variety.

I cut mine into slices. They usually each eat half of their piece before they accidentally drop it and snatch the piece of the pig next to them. Then everyone's taking each other's piece. Silly piggies.

I had a poorly piggie.
She gone to She had mouth cancer but loved her food into batons. long match sticks one in was like a munching machine.
