Hi All,

I've mentioned before that I plan on making cuddle cups, I've just ordered some fabric and things to start making them and I'm hoping to have a little business running that can also be a hobby. :)

But I am concerned about price, as a Guinea Pig owner I know that things like this are costly and I want to keep costs down, so would you all be so kind to complete my 1 question survey on how much you would be prepared to pay if you want one.

Of course if people want certain colours, patterns and material I can quote a price first and take it from there. In the shops Cuddle Cups are so expensive which is why I thought, I can make these a lot more cheaper!

The link for the Survey is http://www.polldaddy.com/s/F24B2F3E67293784/

Thanks and I should be posting a pic of Cuddle Cups this week once I receive my material. )

Think i done the survey ok i closed it after ;D

I havent bought any cuddle cups before as my lot will use them but they would poo in them ::)

I have bought tents and that before with fleece inside though so they are similar O0

Thanks guys. The sitting area is 11 inches in diameter so big enough but of course what ever you want, small, big, massive, dog size!...lol It's up to you. :D

Thanks Clare, I think sitting around thinking about things drives me mad I just want to do things.

That said my ironing is mounting up and I've a pile of dishes ! :D

Well good luck :D Id buy one for my 2 big boars ;D They are the cleanest so would only buy this for them

i find a good shake gets fleecys and cuddle cups poop free
Ive had a tent one before and only used it for their run and it got really dirty and smelly after 1 day so threw it away :P

Thats a great idea Louise. I think the fact that we could get them made to order and how we want is great.

ie I would need a big one for the boys , and Murphy and Romey and three little ones for Trinny Susannah and Honey as they sleep separate.

Be sure to get plenty of pink material for my Princess ones ;D

My girls have a cuddle cup and they poop in it, actually it is only Pearl and Amber who do this as they are yet to learn, I'm cleaning them every other day! :o

They are good for ill pigs I've found to keep them comfy and for toilet trained pigs! :D

Lindsay, there are loads of options, carebear print, winnie pooh, stars, stripes, etc etc Inside lining can come in fleece, felt or flannel. It's up to you.

I've bought some red material with flowers on and yellow felt for now to see how I go. :D

Oh they sound great - I may have to buy more than 1 now ::)

I have more boars than sows so blue ones for me ;D

I'm going to do a small website as I make them and also if anyone buys them if they could send a pic I can put them on the site trying the cuddle cup. :)

OoOoOh me tooo - But i have to warn you if i do get one you know ill have to take LOADS of piccies as usual ::)

ROFL Clare you lot are going to have me run off my feet...it's all good! :D

And I should mention any money raised will go straight back in to buying more fabric of course and to start my own rescue. I've been saving for it but I need more funds and a back up for vets etc. :)

i think its worth paying an extra pound or something so rescues can have discounts :)

I'll just make them at cost price for rescues. Will keep me busy, I've been looking for a hobby! :D

Ditto. Come on Louise get sowing. I cant wait to see them. :smitten: The website idea is great. Our piggies modelling them would be lovely. Bagsey mine and Kellys pigs for modelling the pink plush ones ;D :smitten: :smitten:

Good stuff. For what it's worth, not trying to rain on parade just show what the competition can & is doing & thus what's competitive i bought a couple after contacting woman from her ebay add. Basically big for 2 piggie fleece homes with the open entrance insert thing worked out at £4.50 (single £3.5) & basic cuddle/pockets go for £2.50 reckoned she could do them in any colour if not in a rush www.chucklebunnies.net if you want to check it out.

Good luck thou & fair play especially trying to give something back to the needy :D

Si

Thanks Si, yeah there are a couple of sites out there and they are competitive. Still, I'm mainly doing it as a hobby to keep me busy and trying to keep costs right down as I know that is vital to us all. I love a good bargin! :)
