When i was preparing the piggies tea tonight i noticed in the bag of Kale a piece of wood about the same size of my little finger. Good job i check everything. :o

I immediately read the packaging and it said to ring with any problems so i did and they took all my details and are sending me a double refund. I was upset about the wood but very impressed by the way they deal with this and organised a refund without me having to post off the evidence etc.

It just shows how important it is to check everything. :)

That was lucky Lindsay! Mine love Kale, was yours from Asda? I'll be going there tomorrow as they have offers on their greens at the mo! I check everything and if I don't like the look of something it goes in the bin. I don't give my pigs scraps of veg that isn't fair on them, if it's not fit for me they don't get it! :)

Ooo that is cheap! Peter loves it I will get some for our lunch on Sunday! Don't think I've ever tried it! We don't have a Waitrose in Liverpool, its Netto all the way! ;D

Waitrose is terribly expensive, but when they reduce stuff at the end of the day its all 10/20p. After Christmas I bought a big chicken for 79p and some pork steaks for 99p (was 4.00), for us of course!

I tell a lie, there is one in Formby, but that is about an hours drive from me near Southport! I'll have to check it out and see how the other half live! ;D

I like M&S, again it's expensive but for a treat some of the stuff is really nice!

Our Somerfield has stopped stocking Kale :tickedoff:

So there is nowhere at all to get it in town now. My piggies love it too poor things.

Yes Lousie it was from Asda. My piggies meals are the same all washed and chopped and no dogdey bits go in! Asda were so good about it and could not apologise enough. Not thinking of what might of happened if i hadnt noticed :o

Horribe thought! I've tried conning Sunshine, he loves Kale but I ran out today and gave him Spring Greens he wouldn't eat them!...lol He hates cabbage! ;D There is no conning him!

My pigs would eat kale all day if id let them. Murphy doesnt have Kale as he gets the heaving hiccups after it his favorite is Romaine lettuce so when i give him spring greens he eats it but you can just tell he is not happy he munches it really slowly! He is doing so well though since Romey moved in he tries alot of different foods now he is not as fussy. Think its cos he is all loved up ;D

mine arent that bothered about kale tbh, i really over estimated how much they liked it :-\

I don't feed mine kale, it seems to cause to many problems for my pigs. Especially my older sow :(

Mine love curly kale but it is a treat, their chocolate, and they do gobble it when they get it, and it is 99p a bag in Morrison's, but they don't get it that often,

I have never had problems with feeding it to my guineas but as i said they don't get loads its a treat not a regular thing

I just give a few pieces along with a mix of other veggies and it goes down a treat. In excess it can cause problems but I've found mixing all the food up in smaller quantities better for the pigs and we have no sludge or white stains now. :)
