Hello,

I just wondered what people currently recommend with hay suppliers? We have been feeding "Super Hay" from a local farm shop and feel like it is actually very dusty even though on it, it says dust free and we are concerned that our pigs may have hay mites. We have 75% left of a huge bale as well!

Can anyone recommend 1 or 2 hays that are as dust free as possible but also high quality? I have looked all over the forum and seen the mentions of the likes of: dustfreehay, timothyhay.co.uk , haybox, oxbow orchard grass but I wondered if all of these are still considered in such high regard?

Thanks ever so much

I can vouch for HayBox - it is such lovely hay! I have both meadow and Timothy from them on a subscription.
The meadow is so green, smells sweet, soft and dust free.
The Timothy has been a massive hit with my lot! They were addicted to Oxbow Timothy/orchard grass mix and refused anything else but now I’ve switched them Haybox timothy they won’t touch what’s left of the Oxbow!

Hi, I get my meadow hay from dustfreehay and can say it's been nothing but excellent.

I also use haybox. My boys munch it like crazy. There is some dust nearer the bottom of the box but it's like broken up hay (the little fine strands, crushed up.)

I love my haybox meadow hay, I also use NaturesOwnPets sweet green hay which is also very hood, but you do get a bit more ‘dust’ at the bottom of the bag than with haybox

I use the Ings hay from hayandstraw.co.uk (previously hay for pets) and am always impressed with the quality. May try haybox too as have read a lot of good things :)

I've just bought from P@H
3 bags Oaty Harvest each 300gms and 1kg bag of Burgess long stem hay total £14.77.
I've not or know much about Haybox be honest guys am in paying too much. :lose:

Honestly if you ordered from Haybox you will be amazed at the difference in quality and amount of hay you are getting for your money when compared to what you are buying now. I had my first delivery this month and it is definately worth it.

Are they on line ? :hmm:
