Hi,

I know GP's shouldn't eat grass cuttings from a lawn mower, but is it ok for them to eat grass that has been cut about 4 hours ago? Just came home and saw my Grandad had cut the grass, my mum always leaves a long patch for the GP's but he obviously didn't know!mallethead

Even if it is ok, they are White GP's so I have a feeling their bellies might go Green!

Thanks in advance

I'm pretty sure it's alright for them to have the grass. If they get really dirty, you can always give them a bath. :)

You mean to eat what is left growing, not the cuttings? I think it should be ok, maybe hose off the patch of grass first just in case there's any oil or something from the mower, or a funny taste.

Yes, i meant to put them in their run now the grass has been cut. I ran my hand over it to see if there was anything on it, and to see if it was damp. It seemed nice and dry as it was done about 3/4 hours ago.

Hopefully they wont get Green feet or anything, I only bathed them 2 weeks ago!

Thanks to you both

I give my piggies fresh grass cuttings, but only because I use an electric mower so no oil, and only let them have it immediately after it is cut..Dont give them older mowings as it could upset them.
