Hi guys, just signed up to this forum. Not a 100% sure how to use it but I'm giving it ago! Basically one of my guineas pigs has a cut/spot on his upper lip! I've rang the pet store I got them from but her advice wasn't too great. I got them about 2 weeks ago and as expected they've been quite domineering in there new home. (Indoor cage) they've got plenty to do as I hang pepper,carrots and apples on string from the top of the cage. Lots of tubes and toys too. So there not bored! But I'm just a bit concerned about this cut/spot. There not badly fighting but they've just been vibrating and deeply purring like they do when there trying to dominate. They have separate housing and a big communal space to fun and play, I'm just not sure how or what would of caused this cut/spot and is it something to be worried about?

yes, please post a picture. be careful not to give them too much fruit, because the sugar and the acid in them can irritate their lips, so in the mean time cut out on those so it won't irritate the lip any further. is there a vet in your area that treats guinea pigs? you can call for advice, but if you are really concerned about it, definitely make an apointment!
