Ok so was cutting the piggies nails a few mins ago, i accidently cut the quick on one of Alfie’s nails on one of his front paws. It was bleeding and still kinda is, (not bad) he didnt even squeak or flinch when i accidently cut the quick. Hes walking around and eating hay as normal. Just wondering will he be ok without one nail until it grows back?

Keep an eye on it and obviously if it looks sore, swollen or infected he needs a vet visit but he should be all right. One of my piggies completely pulled a nail out once and it was fine and grew back eventually. If it doesn't stop bleeding soon you can use a styptic pen on it (a good thing to get and keep in your piggies first aid box), if you don't have a styptic pen corn flour is good.

Sorry the link is not working. If you go to search forums and look for first aid kit you can find it that way.

I'm sure there used to be a really good sticky thread about nail cutting and what to do if you cut the quick but I can't find it. The one in the guides I just found is not the one I was thinking of. When my boar pulled out his nail I bathed his toe 4 times a day with saline solution to keep it clean and stop infection getting into it. I would also suggest you could poop pick a bit more often than usual as a precaution until it has healed. Your piggie needs to see a vet straight away if the toe become swollen and inflamed.

Okay, will def check his toe daily from now on to see if it is swollen or there is infection.
