We've just given our piggies a trim and, on the last nail, one of them moved and we cut too far down. We only cut part way in (as he yelped and pulled away) but it bled... a fair bit (not gushing, it's like a shaving cut, it beads then when wiped away comes back).
Little Zuma is fine it seems, he's wandering about making his usual noises and isn't limping or showing discomfort, he's even been chased by his brother and was fine running.
But he is still leaving little dots of blood about the place (and just scratched his face leaving a bit red stripe where his foot bled), and with the nail/toe part cut through I worry that he will reopen the wound. I also worry his cut might get infected.
What do we need to watch for? Obviously if he keeps bleeding I will take him to a vet, but assuming it stops, should I worry he'll complete the cut by snagging it on something or that it will reopen? Am I just watching for him limping or favouring other feet?
