Cut Under Chin

Hello! I just recently got a new piggie to bring into the family but while playing with her tonight I noticed some scratches under her chin, along with the area of that skin being flakey. I just wanted some advice on how to keep it clean and get the skin looking healthier and no longer flakey. I have some photos that I tried my best to get of the cut and skin area!

Best to get a vet check, hard to tell from the photo but it could be the start of a fungal infection like ringworm that she has scratched at. A vet check is always a good idea anyway for new piggies.

I agree with pigglepuggle, with flaky skin as well I would be inclined to think there is a health issue here rather than just a scratch. Please do see a vet as soon as reasonably possible
