Another little star, very sadly missed.

Cuthbert had to be put to sleep last Thursday. An X-ray showed that he had a bladder stone in his urethra, another in his bladder and lots of sludge. He went from being a very happy pig to a very sad piggy in 24 hours.

He lost his best buddy, Grubb in March.

He and Grubb arrived in my life in November 2008 from Sokel Rescue, and were very cheeky little pigs, full of character right from the start. Cuthbert was cleary in charge but was a generous, very calm pig-in-charge.

When Grubb's health very sadly dwindled and he finally passed away in March, I couldn't bear the thought of Cuthbert being lonely. Cuthbert had a contraceptive implant (thanks to my brilliant vet) instead of a neutering op. It was apt that such a character pig was a pioneering pig.

He became the happy huspig to Ethel and Getrude AKA The Mops.

Cuthbert is now sadly missed by his wifeypigs, particularly BossyMop (Gertrude). He is sadly missed by his grateful piggy slave.

Run free Cuthbert, hope you are now back with your loyal friend Grubb in a wonderful meadow of lush grass.
 
Really sorry for the loss of your beautiful piggie. I'm sure he's sbuggled up close to Grubb at the bridge now.

Sorry you lost Cuthbert 8... he was a beautiful boy - there are some wonderful pictures there.
