Please help

I have come home from work today and went down to put the piggies in the run and both Disney and Ebony have cuts to there ears, Disney has a few more than Ebony and dried blood on her.

Do you think they could have been fighting?

I have no way of seperating them as I only have the one hutch, I really do not know what to do 8...

Keep a close eye on them. If it continues then you might need to split them up. It might have just been a little scrap over the best bit of food and they have sorted it out. Nips on the ears can bleed quite a bit cuz of the blood vessels in the ears but are not always the sign of a serious problems. Do they have any injuries anywhere else?

It looks like they have been fighting.

Could you put one in your bathtub (with a towel and some cover) if there are more fights and then try to reintroduce them later on?

It may not work - girls can unfortunately fall out as badly as boys. You may have to think the situation over, especially, if thre are more fights.

I am very sorry for you! Your girls are such a lovely bunch!

I can't believe it, really don't know what has happened, they are all in the run at the moment, playing nicely, to be honest I am devasted 8...

Will check them over properly in a little while.

I would see how they go - If I remember, you have a two storey hutch, if you know who is causing the problem you could keep the ramp up and split them that way?

If they all seem fine now it might just have been a 'handbags' incident and might not re-occur. If they have real injuries it is usually around the mouth and rump. Hope they're ok.

So, it's not always the boys causing the trouble! :))

Hmmm - girls can be 'handbaggy' as Sophie says rolleyes
Hope this is just a squabble and they'll sort themselves out :)

I hope its just handbags!! They all seem fine, they are in the run popcorning and nibbling the grass ........ you wouldn't believe they could fight but I will be keeping an eye on them.

Unfortunately I must agree with the above!

I like the idea of some girls being "handbaggy". I have had a few of them in my time, have got one now - although I think she puts bricks in hers too, she can really pack a punch.

How are the girls today, Ryli?

They are fine although I've been at work all day but when I came home they were all sleeping.

Anyway, woke them up and popped in the run for a few hours, and they were playing as usual :)

Got some scabby ears though, Disney seems to have come off worst. I have left well alone and hope they heal ok. Will keep an eye on them incase of infection.

I have to say it really upset me yesterday but hoping that 'handbags' was all it was rolleyes
