Cutting Nails

Can you cut nails when they are 9 weeks?

Their nails feel quite soft but are pretty long.
 
i would be very gentle and only cut the very tips off. I'm not sure about this though
 
i cut mine at 9 weeks, there isnt much to cut but it takes off the sharpness. you just have to do the tiniest bit at the end.

How are the 4 girls Erin? they settled in?

You could always file them the tips of them to take the sharpness away if you're not sure of clipping them.

They are settling in well thanks Emily.

They are having a bath and nail cut later today when my OH gets home!

I will try and get some pics up of them.

Just decided on their names...Rain, Whisper, Echo and Autumn!

awww lovely! I'm so happy, how are their skin conditions, did you get anything for it?

Do you have any piccies on here of them? did you get back okay? Sorry i had to dash, i had to get to my hair appointment!

I e-mailed Chriisie and she recommended a couple of products. They came today so I am going to give it a go!

I don't have any piccies yet...will be doing a photo session once my camera battery has recharged!

We got back fine thank you. They were really quiet on the journey but are making up for it now (they are running round my living room!)

Yes, if their nails are sharp and scratchy and you feel confident about doing it ... give it a go.

You can buy small animal nail clippers. Just take a tiny bit off the tips ... don't go near the "quick" i.e. the middle of the nail which has the sensitive flesh area running up it or it will bleed and become very sore for the piggy.

If the nail is pink, you will be able to see the "quick", however if it is black then it is more difficult. If in doubt, get expert help.
