Cutting up beetroot

I got hold of some beetroot but I'm not sure how i should cut them to avoid bleeding etc. ?

I just cut them into quarters - although Smudge gave me a fright by lying on a piece in his bed - came out with a big red splodge on his side

Cut the leaves off and put it in whole saves you getting purple fingers!

I just chop 4 chunks off it and pop it in. If you wash your.hands quickly enough it doesn't stain fingers

I keep the disposable plastic gloves you get with hair dying kits, re wash and use for whatever I need.

I just do mine on the chopping board and soak the chopping board to remove the stain.
Just remember never to feed the leaves

We do it on the chopping board. If you do it quickly enough it will rinse of with no stains.
