Cuys - what are they like?

On seeing the photo in the photogallery I have a question; what are they like as pets? I've heard that they can be badtempered (sp?) but I'm not sure as I don't know much about them.

I'm not planning on getting one or anything just the typical, curious Clare :D
 
Cuy's are the guinea pigs that people in Peruh breed for their meat. Yea in peru the are bred, like we bred cows and pigs.

Their character is most of the time very nervois. They get scared very easy and screem like you're killing them. But when you got them on your lap everything is allright and they do enjoy a cuddle.

Cuy's are harder to keep together. Most Cuy's don't like a cage pall and this can end in The Matrix-like fightingscenes

I think they are brilliant and I would jump at the chance of owning one. :smitten:
 
It is that I live so far away, but I'm expecting two litters one of these days. The girls just don't keep a date hahaha.
